A RELAXING GETAWAY IN JERSEY

A couple of weeks ago I and some blogger friends had the opportunity to visit Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands located off the coast of France in Mont St. Michel Bay, and spend 3 days relaxing and enjoying some of the best things it has to offer - It was a pleasant surprise to discover this island has such a wide array of things to do and places to go.

During the first night, after checking-in at The Club Hotel & Spa, we went for one of the best afternoon teas I've ever had. The quality of the food and the great service provided by the staff at The Bohemia Bar, made the experience incredibly pleasant and enjoyable. So much so we came back a couple of times for evening cocktails.

For the second day we all had different activities scheduled, which was a lot of fun as at the end of the day we were excited to share our adventures during dinner. One of the girls went abseiling (she was terrified but ended up loving it), another one had a very relaxing day at the beach and getting massages, and I spent my day between beautiful gardens, the sea and getting pampered... Not bad, right?

At 9:00 a driver picked me up at the hotel and took me to the stunning Botanic Gardens at Samares Manor, a place that seems to be frozen in time and gives you the feeling of being in the 1920's when the garden was actually built. As you walk in, the imposing Manor house invites you to explore and get lost and its beautiful gardens, my favorite was definitely the cactus conservatory, I wanted to take each and every single one of them home with me (but I didn't).

After spending the morning between flowers and thorns, I went for lunch at one of the most majestic beaches I've seen in my entire life, St. Ouen's Bay. Perhaps because the sea was so powerful and had almost the entire beach for myself, it gave me a sense of peace I never experienced before. Lunch at El Tico Beach Cantina was absolutely wonderful and that glass of wine after a long walk at the beach, was all I needed. I can only imagine how cool the vibe is there during summer, definitely a mandatory stop.

To end the day in the best possible way I had the most luxurious and relaxing facial from Elemis at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, it literally left my skin feeling like a million dollars.

To finish with a flourish my last day couldn't have been more relaxing, I had a lovely breakfast in bed topped with a full body oil massage the spa from The Club Hotel Spa. I was so relaxed I felt I was levitating, what a wonderful experience it was.

At the end of the trip I felt there was so much I still wanted to do and find out about the island, that I'm definitely looking forward to going back. No matter the time of the year, it has so much to offer, whether you like being outdoors or you're just looking for a relaxing getaway, Jersey is a great option and only a 50 minutes flight from Gatwick.

I felt so spoilt during this trip, a present was waiting for me with the most beautiful and comfortable shoes from Sargossa (their quality and design is impressive), and a gorgeous handbag from Ilex London to add to my luxury handbag collection, it will be the perfect statement piece for my looks this Autumn/Winter. You can find pictures below.

Big thanks to the team at Visit Jersey for looking after me and the rest of the girls so well during this visit, I had a fantastic time.

  11. Your weekend sounded so amazing. I think your trip looked so much fun, and it's a weekend that I need myself very soon. I am so obsessed with cactuses too so your photos of the cactus have me hooked. While living in NY I never got to New Jersey, but I'd love to go. I've heard nothing but good things. The Club Hotel & Spa sounds so nice and I love facials. I would love to get a professional one.
